Problems Related to Immigrants Entering our Country Illegally

Abstract
A look at the facts concerning illegal immigration.

(Migrant caravan numbered in the thousands)

Let’s look logically and realistically at the problems at hand with immigrants entering our country illegally. Let’s put emotion aside and state facts.

It is unsafe for the immigrants who are coming to this country to take the long journey to get to our borders. Many are leaving their countries due to the fear of drug cartels, human traffickers and gangs: however, on their journey they encounter drug dealers, traffickers, gangs, and rapists. Some of them are murdered in the deserts where coyotes prey on the unsuspecting nomads traveling to the promised land.

They are often sold on promises, and pay money to less than trustworthy professional con artists, that only have selfish motives for bringing them to the U.S. Their reasons are varied, but their end goals are the same, money and power.

Drugs are being smuggled into our country and land on the streets putting our children at risk. I personally have a friend whose son overdosed on drugs, along with three other high school aged boys. The girl who was with the group lived and was able to tell the police where they got the drugs. It was the Mexican drug cartel who had sold the undiluted drugs.

M-13 gang members, Isis, human traffickers, and other dangerous people are slipping in amongst the numbers of illegal immigrants. It is a good cover-up for these undesirables to hide and make it through the borders.

Many are leaving their countries to better provide financially for their families. Some are able to assimilate into our society; but, due to lack of education, skill, and language barrier many are unable to find good paying jobs. This leads them to government assistance for housing, health, and food. Some are seen on the corner streets with signs begging for money, or turn to the life of crime of drugs and theft in order to survive. All of this brings the problems of their country into our country, thus putting our citizens at risk both monetarily and physically.

Education is another source of difficulty for the immigrants and a drain on our country. Our educational system is strained by immigrants unable to read, write, or understand English. The result is often the students are a behavioral problem for the school, because of the difficulty of learning without understanding the content. If they have learning disabilities on top of the language barrier, it adds even greater difficulty to the students ability to succeed. Sometimes the student is so frustrated or embarrassed, they often either are too intimidated to seek help, or act out trying to cover their inabilities. Either way, they lose.

Valuable time and resources are spent on catering to illegal immigrant students. The increase of numbers to the classroom puts additional demand on already strained teachers. So much attention is given to struggling illegal immigrant students, that many American students who are striving for an education do not get the help they need. -- Disease is being brought into our country with illegal immigrants having traveled long distances in unsanitary conditions and often bad weather. Some come with already infectious diseases and enter the country bringing those diseases with them. This adds a financial burden on Americans where even many Americans can’t afford health care.

Dilution of our government value system and culture. Illegal immigrants coming into our country often do not understand our form of government and sometimes seek the same form of government that destroyed their countries. They are accustomed to having things given to them, however, the reason they are leaving is because their countries have run out of money to maintain their Socialist status.

Cultural differences have throughout history shown to often cause division and hatred among groups. It is not unusual or even unexpected for this to materialize. Wars and genocide have occurred when you put certain cultures together because of the distinct differences in theology and ideology.

Lastly, how many people can the United States realistically let into the country? It is impossible for America to hold the world’s population. It can not financially sustain the influx, nor can it maintain any form of reasonable order. Chaos will eventually ensue, the only absolute course direction.
