Chris Watts purpose in life

Abstract
Chris Watts ruthlessly killed his wife and two daughters, yet in jail he has their pictures on the wall, reads the bible, and feels the spirit tell him that his life has a purpose. It would seem that a killer such as Chris Watts would not feel that he has a special purpose in life, but in reality it takes a person narcissistic enough to feel they have a special purpose to commit such crimes.

If you haven't heard of Chris Watts ruthless killing of his wife and children, then you haven't been watching the news for a while. Here is a man who coldheartedly killed his wife and his children because he wanted to have a life without them.

In a recent article Chris Watts has stated that he is reading the Bible and that he feels there is a purpose for his life. I have always believed it is better not to judge other people, understanding that people can repent and change. But with that said there has to be a point where a person has crossed the line where they are good for nothing but to be cast off and discarded. If there is such a line, one would certainly think that the murdering of ones entire family would be that line. But how can a person who has committed such heinous acts believe that he has something to contribute to that world, that his unique specialness is about to be used by God?

This feeling of Chris Watts is the perfect example of the type of person he is. Chris Watts is a narcissist who thinks he and his life is more important than the lives of others. He doesn't see himself equal to others but better than others, which is why he feels even the crimes he committed has moved him closer to the great purpose God has for him. But if you think about it, it is this same feeling of special purpose which could allow a human being such as Chris Watts to mentally justify the brutal murder of his wife and Children. Chris obviously felt that his wife and his children were holding him back from his special purpose. Chris obviously felt he made the wrong choice years earlier in marrying his wife and that he was derailed from obtaining and becoming who he was meant to be. His wife and his children were holding him back from the wife and children he was meant to have to fulfill his great and grandiose purpose. His wife and children didn't have a special purpose of their own and as lesser being could be sacrificed for Chris to get his life back on track.

No, Chris, God does not have a purpose for you at this point. You are human trash that needs to be taken out. A roll of toilet paper has more worth and value than you at this point. As you read your Bible, perhaps you do not understand it.

Perhaps at one time, when you were innocent, God did have a purpose for you. Perhaps there was a path you might have meant to have traveled on. Perhaps you at one time were one of Gods greatest children with the most potential. But in life and the eternities potential means nothing, it is what you accomplished, who you become and the life you live that matters in the end. Christ himself once said that if the salt has lost its savor it is henceforth good for nothing but to be cast out and trodden under the foot of men. You are salt that has lost its savor.

Isreal also was God's chosen nation. He led the Children of Israel out of Egypt demonstrating mighty miracles. But the Children of Israel complained and committed great sins in the desert. For their commissions of sins, God ensured that all but two of them would die in the wilderness and not be allowed to enter the promised land. God personally destroyed many of them with serpents, fire, and even swallowing them up in the earth. How many of these special people lost their purpose for crimes even smaller than the one Chris has committed.

The Bible itself set laws for these special people and penalties for breaking them. And the last time I checked, the penalty for murder was death according to the Bible. In fact, it was expected of the nation of Israel to put the murder to death for if they didn't the sins will fall upon the nation itself for judgment. Therefore, at this point in time, with the crimes Chris has committed, his physical body should be put to death and discarded that the blood of his crimes does not fall upon this nation and upon its inhabitants as the souls of his victims cry to God beyond the grave.

That special book you read Chris says that you should be put to death. Prove your true conversion by accepting the consequence of your actions. At least many of the children of Israel who were put to death for their crimes owned up to them before they were executed. If there is one thing that could possibly buy any mercy from a just God is admitting your wrongdoing and paying the price for your actions. That is now a special purpose for your life. Die and beg Gods mercy.

The story of Chris Watts is the perfect example of a warning to Christians. The ultimate purpose of a Christian is to serve God and obey his laws. His laws are created that we don't set up ourselves as having a special purpose where we violate the rights and special purposes of others. If we do, there are consequences. By forgetting about our special purpose and recognizing the special purposes and rights of others we can avoid falling into the same sin that Chris fell into. God expects us not to be special in our treatment of others but equals.
